Post Sofia's eviction from the house, the model cum actress complained to the police on Armaan's alleged violent behaviour against her in the house. Probing the complaint, the cops asked for the footage of the incident where Armaan supposedly hit Sofia with a mop from the Bigg Boss team. The latest is that the Lonavla cops have acted and have arrested Armaan from the house. The cops went inside the house in the day and arrested Armaan. It is believed that he will be taken to the court for further legal proceedings. It is yet uncertain whether Armaan's journey has ended in the show or not. Confirming the news Sofia said, "This is showing the world that India takes a strong stand for violence against women. I am relieved. I did this not just for what Armaan did to me, but for every woman who has been hit or abused by a man."

Sofia started her career with modelling. She has appeared in TV advertising campaigns for international brands including Walkers Crisps, McDonald's, and was the first model/actor who featured in the campaign for Timotei hair shampoo, a brand well known for hair products for blondes. She has been featured in India's sexiest women in the world, and has appeared in many magazines, like FHM, GQ, and Vogue.
She started acting at a young age of 16, when she landed her first role with the BBC on the show Absolute Power. After that she was seen in the BAFTA award winning show Fur TV, where she played a Latino with a Brazilian accent. The show was an international success and has been translated in over 5 different languages. Sofia also hosted and judged a show for UTV Bindaas reality TV show Superdude Season 2. She stepped into bollywood with movie The Unforgettable and Cash and Curry. In Cash and Curry she played the gun-toting wife of a gangster.
