The very charming and talented actress Grusha Kapoor essayed the role of an evil and menacing mother-in-law in the very popular Star Plus show 'Kehta Hai Dil'. Such is her acting potential that within a short span of time the show not only enjoyed a soaring popularity but also made the small screen audiences hate her to the core. In fact her role was so convincing that all the daughters of the country started praying that they would never get a mother-in-law so conniving and malicious like her. In fact Grusha Kapoor was very excited when she bagged her character in 'Kehta Hai Dil'. The main reason as to why she readily nodded to make such a performance was that her character was not one of the usual vamps of the television. Though her character was evil she still has a funny shade in it, which does not make her actions seem very obvious. This actress is more remembered for her role of Tara in Zee Television in the early nineties. Things have not changed over the years for Grusha. She still shares a deep passion for acting and feels extremely happy when she is acting on the sets. Her character in the soap was such that she remarked in a recent interview, "In Kehta Hai Dil viewers might hate me, detest me and find me insufferable. But they can't ignore me because I also provide the much-needed comic relief".
The exceptionally brilliant Grusha Kapoor has successfully made his mark in the Bollywood film industry as well. She has been seen meting out brilliant performances in Bollywood flicks like 'Janam Samjha Karo' starring the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and the gorgeous damsel Urmila Matondokar. The other movies in which she acted are 'Tantrik', 'Hawa' and 'Shakti'.
This great actress was born on 6th March and is a true Piscean by nature. On the personal front she enjoys a very carefree life and tied the knot with a Mumbai based lawyer after a shot span of courtship. Being a love marriage it was a very special moment with her and now she is settled in Mumbai with her husband leading a happy married life. As of now she is very happy with the limelight surrounding her life and claims that she would definitely make herself evolve as a better actress in the coming times. Only such can be the expectations of the audiences from such an artistically endowed actress.
